  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment.
  2. Whisk butter and sugar, then eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Fold in cocoa, flour, and salt until just combined, then fold in chips.
  4. Spread in the pan and bake 22–25 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs, not liquid batter. Cool about 1 hour before slicing.
