One step at a time

Let’s make it

  1. Heat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Beat butter and both sugars until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, then mix into the butter mixture just until combined. Fold in chips.
  4. Scoop 24 portions onto the sheets, spaced 2 inches apart. Bake one sheet at a time for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers set. Cool 10 minutes on the sheet.

A little kitchen know-how

If the dough feels greasy or very soft, chill 20 minutes before scooping; add that time to your plan.

Storage & leftovers

Store fully cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.

Cooking times are estimates; check doneness. See safe cooking temperatures and food storage guidance. Check ingredient labels for allergens.
